Alex came from a SCM Supply Chain Management background equipped with years of experienced in the private sector Supply Chain Management procurement/purchasing industry. In his tenure in the supply chain management world he recieved high level management and sales training that became his foundation to build his character. BACKGROUND: Alex was a son of a Filipino immigrant and was born in the Philippines and immigrated to Toronto, ON. Canada at the early age of 13. He resides and grew up in Scarborough, ON. studied highschool in Scarborough and completed college also in Scarborough, ON. majored in Electronics Engineering. Alex pursued a second diploma in IT Network Administration and was certified in various IT platforms such as Microsoft, Novell, Cisco systems. Throughout his tenure in the IT field he landed a career in SCM Supply Chain Management where he devoted 12 years of his life on.
While working in Supply Chain Management industry he honed his communication, leadership, management and business skills. Alex also holds a SCM Supply Chain Management certification, he was certified in PMAC, Certificate of Purchasing and was 3 workshop and 2 courses away from writing his national examination designation in CPP/SCMP when he walked away from that industry.
PREVIOUS CAREER: In his previous employment/profession as a Buyer responsible for JIT (just in time) procurement of materials he was involved in mobilizing a centralized procurement department which resulted in tremendous cost savings for the company averaging around $1.1M a year in cost savings that he attained from engaging with cross functional teams, pushing back unecessary requisition, streamlining company procurement process and diligently negotiating for the companys day to day procurement cost savings to achieve a win/win result for his department.
REAL ESTATE: While working in SCM industry as a Buyer responsible for procurement he was exposed to sales industry where he engaged in different facet of procurement and sales process, learned how to read and write contracts and requisitions from RFP/RFQ and eventually developed passion in sales that led him to pursue a career in real estate and was eventually licensed under the Toronto Real Estate Board in 2009. At first real estate was hus backup plan but after learning the ropes of real estate industry when the internet and online marketing was just new to Realtors he found his niche and talent in online marketing and developed passion in real estate where he quickly applied his acquired skills from his previous profession that led him to eventually transitioned to become a full time realtor. Aside from helping client to buy/sell real estate he loves renovating properties as hobby. Alex is a decent handyman/renovator an active real estate investor and has a vast hands on experience in flipping homes, acquiring cash flow properties for passive apprerciation and renting properties.
